Who we are

We are women supporting girls

We offer one-to-one mentoring and group course programmes for girls from all walks of life, who are dealing with anxiety, pressures, low self-esteem, and issues that are holding them back from being where they want to be.

Every girl we work with has the potential to grow and flourish. We work with them to create a newfound confidence and stronger emotional resilience.

We help girls to feel heard, known, seen, and supported.

Our creative and engaging toolkit works with ‘thoughts, feelings, and actions. It’s results-focused while equipping young girls for life.

Our approach

As a Warwickshire-based Christian charity, we support our community with kindness and respect.

Working with parents, schools, and local volunteers to provide engaging programmes that transform lives.

Our Christian ethos

We offer workshops to help you better understand self-esteem and positive well-being as well as guidance on the ‘flourish way’ to support the girls in your care.

You also have 24/7 access to our online resource hub for before and after support.

For parents and professionals

Meet Char and Kerstin.

Both have extensive experience in youth work and education where they met many girls who were struggling with feelings of anger or overwhelm. Often this led to self-harm, not achieving in school, or lacking in self-belief.

It was at one of their meetings with other local youth workers, that they saw a despondency and acceptance that the struggles young people were facing were ‘just how it was’.

Kerstin and Char simply weren’t willing to accept this. They knew things could and should be different.

They saw that no charities or companies locally were dedicated to supporting girls in this way and there was no early-intervention to prevent issues from escalating.

And so, Flourish was born!

Over several meetings and cups of tea, the shared vision of Kerstin and Char became a reality.

In a matter of months, they’d moved from exploring what Flourish could look like, to delivering courses and mentoring in their flagship school and youth work setting.

Flourish is built on an unwavering hope to support girls to get to where they want to be or who they want to be - showing that the situations they face don’t determine who they are, their value, or their future.

Our founder story

Why work with Flourish?

  • 86% of girls supported by us have seen improvement in their well-being

  • 82% of girls have seen an improvement in their self-esteem as a direct result of Flourish support

  • 100% would recommend us to a friend

  • Our aim is to provide early intervention, so we can prevent issues from escalating

  • Our programmes and resources are personalised to the needs of each girl we work with because we understand that everyone is differ

  • We create space to ask the hard questions, look at challenges and create solutions – we don’t just talk the talk.

The Flourish values

  • creating and instilling this in the girls we support.

  • in all we are and do.

  • in nature and action. Giving our love, time, and skills to help others.

  • valuing everyone we work with. From the young girls we support, through to our trustees, we love to recognise, respect, and cheer each other on.

  • to step up and out. Facing our own fears and challenges and supporting young girls we work with to be bold, brave, and strong.

  • our ethos is shaped by our Christian beliefs of always treating others with unconditional love, respect, kindness, care, and dignity.

  • Our service is for every girl who needs it.

Why Girls

We believe in women supporting girls, and that this generation (perhaps more than ever before) can benefit from this.

We work with girls because we have years of experience and know we can make a difference to their lives. We also know girls are more likely to feel comfortable, speak up and express their vulnerabilities when in a single-sex setting.

Statistics show -

  • Girls are significantly more unhappy with life than boys (Good Childhood Report)

  • Only 16% of girls reported feeling happy (Girlguiding)

  • 1/4 of girls aged 14 have self-harmed (Young Minds)

  • 7/10 girls do not feel good enough (Dove Research)

  • 1/3 of girls feel worthless (Girlguiding)

We want to give girls their best chance.
