Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024

It is International Women’s Day on 8th March. This year, the UN’s theme for this day is Invest in Women. The UN states ‘Gender equality remains the greatest human rights challenge. Investing in women is a human rights imperative and cornerstone for building inclusive societies. Progress for women benefits us all.”

Our incredible volunteers are so generous with their time and care to support group and one-to-one mentoring programmes.  This mentoring can make a huge difference to girls as it gives them a safe space and a chance to learn about themselves.  We fully believe that investing in women and girls in this way can change the world! 

As a group of women supporting girls in this area, we hope that every young girl has a chance to flourish. Our Flourish staff team is using the occasion of International Women’s Day to consider what words of encouragement we would give to our younger selves.
